Get ready for another year of Picnic Here! Perch at tables in and around our dining space & herb garden, or lean into the picnic theme and bring a blanket to spread out on the grass. Wherever you choose to set up, you’ll enjoy a four-course Farm-to-Picnic Basket meal from one of our restaurant partners, beers from a local brewery, and Goodlander cocktails while taking in summer scenes of flower gardens, produce fields, and our free-roaming flock.
We’re happy to announce that for the 2025 season we’re partnering with local non-profits to support some of our favorite causes and raise awareness about their important work, so please check out that info below.
Dust off your summer picnic gear and join us for the fifth season of picnics at Churchview!
All events begin at 5:30pm. Each $190 ticket is a four-course meal experience for two, including four beer tickets & two cocktail tickets per package. Spirit-free drinks do not require tickets. This year each event features a local non-profit partner that receives a portion of the ticket proceeds and is onsite at the event to spread awareness about their cause. Our 2025 nonprofit partners are ARYSE Pittsburgh, Act for Animals/Ricki’s Rescue, Grow Pittsburgh, Hello Neighbor, Hope Haven Farm Animal Sanctuary, and Baldwin Borough Public Library.
Tickets are limited to 30 packages per event, kids 15 and under can enter for no cost (we ask that you provide their meals as our chefs are unable to make adjustments or additions to packages), and all sales are final. See below for dates and lineup. In the case of inclement weather, guests are welcome to enjoy their picnics at tables under our covered dining space or take their package experience to go.
Please note: Our Picnic Here series chefs are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions of any kind aside from food allergies. All vegetarian events are noted in the listings. For events not featuring Millie’s Ice Cream the dessert courses will be provided by the chefs.
May
Above & Beyond Catering with Hitchhiker Brewing
- May 19 -
One of our favorite woman-owned businesses is right in the neighborhood! With a Middle Eastern and Mediterranean background, Chef Monique’s dishes pop with flavor and reflect the love, intention, and local/seasonal ingredients that go into each one. It’s easy to see (and taste) why ABC has been an event partner and preferred caterer at Churchview since 2013.
Non-profit partner: ARYSE Pittsburgh - Supporting immigrant and refugee youth
June
Pittsburgh Sandwich Society with Millie’s Ice Cream & Hitchhiker Brewing
- June 2 -
We featured this match-made-in-heaven last season as part of the Picnic Here series and it was a crowd favorite. How can you go wrong with their delectable sandwiches and sides, especially when paired with our besties and longtime event partners at Millie’s?
Non-profit partner: Act for Animals of Southwestern PA/Ricki’s Rescue
July
Novo Asian Food Hall: Korea Garden with Trace Brewing
- July 14 -
After 22 years of operating Korea Garden in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood, Seok Kun Han and Mun Ja Han expanded into the Novo Asian Food Hall in the Strip. Korea Garden features bento boxes with bulgogi and jae yook bookeum, bibimbap, and a broad array of street food staples such as kimchi pancakes and tteokbokki. We look forward to welcoming Hirah and her family to the Churchview kitchen.
Non-profit partner: Grow Pittsburgh - Supporting food-growing initiatives & programs across the region
Driftwood Oven with Dancing Gnome Brewing
- July 28 -
A picnic so nice we offer it twice (each season). Chef/owner Neil Blazin brings the Driftwood mobile oven to Churchview every year for both his events, where the stars of the show are their oven-fired sourdough pizzas and incredible baked goods. Of course, the CVF heirloom tomatoes share the spotlight at all Driftwood events.
These picnics are vegetarian.
Non-profit partner: Hello Neighbor - Supporting recently resettled refugee and immigrant families

September
Novo Asian Food Hall: Tan Lac Vien with Trace Brewing
- September 8 -
Chef Minh Luong's Tan Lac Vien has been a staple of Vietnamese dining in Squirrel Hill for over a decade. His second location in the Novo Asian Food Hall offers a broad selection of banh mi, pho, fresh rolls, and rice dishes highlighting classic Vietnamese flavors. We can’t wait to see how Chef Minh will showcase our late summer harvest on the Farm.
Non-profit partner: Baldwin Borough Public Library
