Wrapping up the 2025 season with a bang!

New September & early October event tickets (the last of the season) available now

This series features newly announced guest chef events launched each month throughout the 2025 season, ranging from casual family style meals to elevated dining experiences.

Details for new September and early October event listings are below. Please note, this ticket launch includes the last new events of our 2025 season as we’re wrapping up a bit early in order to accommodate the timeline for construction to begin on our long-anticipated new facility, an indoor kitchen and teaching/dining space. Stay tuned over the winter for news and updates, and we hope to see you for some of the last dinners of 2025 at Churchview!

Six course Japanese Menu

with chef Gari Shoyu

Last season, our series of Japanese tasting dinners with chef Gary were among our most well-received events so we’re excited to offer another experience highlighting his unique and delicious menus. Not a sushi person? This is the Japanese dinner for you!

Chef/owner Gary Marshall started G.S. Sando Company with a series of popups in 2023 with a dual concept; the first consisting of lunch and street fare served at breweries, and the second a contemporary concept serving dishes more commonly found in Japan than Pennsylvania. For this meal, each course is an experience that will take you through the various stages of flavor in an order that was established in Japanese culture generations ago. With each dish building slowly off of the previous one, you will travel far from the boarders of PA and back as the chef incorporates the fresh late summer produce from here at Churchview.

Each course will be accompanied by tastings of Japenese beer and a variety of sake from our good friend, sommelier Alyssa McGrath of Skurnik Wines & Spirits.

This event will be held on Thursday September 11th @ 6 pm. Tickets are $170 pp and are inclusive of the entire experience.

Because of the nature of this specific menu, the chef is not able to accommodate any dietary adjustments. He is happy to consider serious allergies on a case-by-case basis provided you contact us via email for approval BEFORE purchasing your ticket. Please note that we are unable to make any adjustments for preferences, as these are prix fixe set menus and based on seasonal products. This is not a vegetarian meal. Events Coordinator Alison Hillard will email guests prior to the event regarding seating requests and dietary accommodations. Any restrictions/allergies provided after the stated deadline and not confirmed in advance of purchase cannot be accommodated. Seasonal spirit-free offerings from Goodlander Cocktails are always available upon request.

Open Fires & Whiskey

a late summer dinner party with Local Provisions, Fat Butcher, master of whiskey John Wabeck, and Old Thunder Brewing

Churchview event veterans know that when chef/owner Brian Pekarcik (Local Provisions) hosts a dinner at the farm, it truly is an experience. This time, we’re leaning in to that concept with a “farm dinner meets cocktail party meets late summer grilling blowout.” Not only is chef Brian (a CVF event chef since 2013) bringing his usual enthusiastic creativity and talent, he’s recruited a group of equally talented friends for this interactive dinner party.

The Local Provisions and Fat Butcher teams will set up outside our outdoor kitchen to grill meats, fish, and tons of seasonal veggies over open fires. Guests are encouraged to roam from their seats in our dining space to various stations offering all manner of freshly grilled appetizers, meaty mains, and plenty of farm-fresh sides, followed by dessert. During (and between) those courses, be sure to visit the team from Old Thunder Brewing, pouring a selection of their local brews. And you can’t miss another highlight, special guest and longtime friend of Churchview master of whiskey John Wabeck, who will be serving up his expertise and a sampling of whiskey and bourbon based cocktails.

We hope you’ll join us for what’s shaping up to be an end-of-summer evening to remember.

This event will be held on Thursday September 18th @ 6 pm. Tickets are $200 pp and are inclusive of the entire experience.

The chef will accommodate gluten free dietary needs, and will consider certain serious allergies on a case-by-case basis provided you contact us via email for approval BEFORE purchasing your ticket. Please note that this is not a vegetarian-friendly event due to the focus on grilled meats and fish. No allium allergies, and as summer is prime tomato season here at Churchview, no nightshade allergies can be accommodated at this time.

Chef Beth Zozula’s Annual Pepper Dinner!

Back each season by popular request, we’re always excited to host chef Beth for her now-famous Pepper Dinner. Sweet/hot/mild and everything in between, if you’re a fan of peppers this one is not to be missed. This is not a vegetarian dinner, but as it’s peak harvest season at the Churchview, you can expect loads of farm-freshness with each course.

Chef will start us off with a passed bite and welcome cocktail as you enjoy the late summer scenes and flower gardens of Churchview. Guests will then sit in our dining space for five seated courses, from starters and salads to mains and dessert. As always, thoughtful beverage pairings are part of the experience. Join us as one of our many repeat visitors for this annual event, or come for the first time and see what the peppery fuss is about.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

with chef Becca Hegarty of Bitter Ends & Allora Wine Group

Fans of Bitter Ends and chef Becca - this farm din is for you. We don’t know anyone who doesn’t carry some serious enthusiasm for her food, especially as so many of us in Pgh still mourn the closing of this beloved brick-and-mortar Bloomfield spot.

Though you can certainly find chef Becca and Bitter Ends popping up around the city, we’re extra thrilled that she’s joining us for this early fall farm dinner at Churchview. Expect to start with a passed bite and some bubbles, then perch in the dining space for multiple courses of farm-fresh goodness. A main course featuring local chicken will be among the highlights but fear not, vegetarian friends, you will be happily and enthusiastically accommodated. And I think we all have a delicious idea of what to expect from her desserts.

Our pals from Allora will start guests off with some bubbles and offer wine pairings with each course. Join us to celebrate early fall veggies (and hopefully some crisp temps) for one of our very last events of the season.

This event will be held on Wednesday October 1st @ 6 pm. Tickets are $170 pp and are inclusive of the entire experience.

Did you know? Your ticket pays for more than the unique food and beautiful surroundings that you and your guests experience on any given evening at the farm. Dinners and events at Churchview exist to support our farm, pay sustainable wages, and allow us to operate as a community space for education, programming, and engagement. None of our products (fruits, vegetables, herbs, eggs, honey) are publicly sold. Everything is grown by and given directly to those who come to Churchview as part of our zero-cost community-based education. The rest is allocated to our guest chefs for these seasonal events.

Thank you for supporting our community!

All events are rain or shine, all sales are final, and all tickets limited to those age 21 and over. Please review our No Refunds/No Transfers policies and Terms of Service here.
